Experts evaluate the color of the upper side of the corolla lobes, considering both the main hue and the presence of additional colors characteristic of a specific hybrid.

Flower color saturation is determined by photoperiodism and light levels, with light deficiency leading to fading of the petals. The temperature regime also acts as a regulator of pigment synthesis: maintaining a day-night temperature difference of 5–8°C increases color intensity.

Mineral nutrition significantly affects pigmentation quality: excessive nitrogen nutrition reduces color saturation, while phosphorus and potassium promote color stability. The influence of environmental conditions is most pronounced in varieties with high sensitivity to temperature fluctuations.
