The height of a Kalanchoe plant is a key characteristic in assessing varieties for distinctness, uniformity, and stability, measured from the soil surface to the top of the inflorescence.

During variety testing, height is measured according to UPOV protocols for Kalanchoe blossfeldiana and interspecific hybrids. The final measurement accounts for the total height of the plant including the inflorescences and is recorded in centimeters at the flowering stage. A 9-point scale is used to evaluate varieties, where low values correspond to 1–3 points, medium to 5 points, and high to 7–9 points.

Typical height values for common indoor hybrids range from 25–40 cm, although breeding mini-forms with smaller dimensions exist. In addition to genetics, plant height is significantly influenced by agronomic practices, such as shoot pinching to stimulate branching, and light conditions, the disruption of which leads to stem stretching.
