Vigor — Walnut

This trait directly influences cultivation technology: vigorous forms require wider spacing to ensure proper light exposure. Excessive vigor often negatively impacts yield and cold hardiness due to delayed shoot lignification; therefore, moderate growth is preferred for mechanized harvesting.
