The decorative effect of Limonium sinuatum inflorescences is created by rigid, membranous calyces that retain their shape and brightness for one to three years. Unlike crops with succulent stems, statice requires specific transport conditions due to the risk of Botrytis infection in high humidity and high sensitivity to temperatures around 0 °C, which cause floret shattering.

Optimal harvesting is carried out at the stage of full spikelet opening and maximum calyx expansion. For high-quality drying, a dark, well-ventilated room is required, as some colors, especially pink and salmon shades, are prone to fading. Modern breeding cultivars obtained via in vitro methods are characterized by increased uniformity, the strength of erect winged stems, and larger inflorescence size, which simplifies their commercial packaging.
