It manifests as the result of the plant's genetic capabilities being realized, limited by external environmental conditions and the effectiveness of applied agricultural practices.
This indicator depends on the suitability of the variety to soil and climatic conditions, the level of agronomy, the quality of preceding crops, and genotype stability. Assessing yield structure includes an analysis of stand density, tillering, number of grains or tubers, and thousand kernel weight, which allows for the determination of productivity formation factors.
For accurate variety comparison during variety trials, indicators are adjusted to standard moisture content and correlated with a control variety standard.
