When assessing the sowing qualities of chicory seeds, uniformity is determined by the percentage of seeds passing through calibrated sieves. Established requirements vary depending on the category of seed material: for breeder and elite seeds, this indicator must reach 98.0%, whereas for certified seeds, the minimum threshold is 90.0%.

Within the framework of variety trials, uniformity characterizes the morphological consistency of plants in an experimental plot. A high degree of population homogeneity is a critical factor for industrial production, ensuring synchronous maturation of heads, their marketability, and the feasibility of mechanical harvesting. At the same time, the traits of 100 representative plants are assessed against the declared variety description, as well as the uniformity of their spacing in the growing area for the effective formation of root crops suitable for subsequent forcing.
