The variety forms a dense stand with fine, needle-like leaf blades colored bright green. When uncut, it reaches a height of 15 cm, but is adapted to extremely low mowing down to 1.5 mm. The plant is characterized by good shade tolerance, high wear resistance, and improved heat stress resistance compared to earlier varieties.

Vesper possesses resistance to dollar spot, brown patch, anthracnose, Pythium root rot, and snow mold. The variety is economical to maintain: it requires significantly less nitrogen fertilizer than creeping bentgrass varieties and possesses drought tolerance. The best performance is achieved when cultivated in northern regions with a temperate, humid climate.
