The variety is used for establishing specialized turf covers, in particular greens on golf courses. The plant is capable of withstanding mowing to a height of less than 0.5 cm and intensive operational loads.
Like other representatives of the species Agrostis stolonifera, this variety forms dense turf due to creeping shoots, called stolons, which root at the nodes.
