The variety belongs to the category of creeping bentgrass Agrostis stolonifera var. palustris. In certain studies from the 2000s, the variety was mentioned in the context of trials of genetically modified lines possessing resistance to glyphosate.
The plant is used for creating turf on golf courses. In academic trials, the variety was classified as highly susceptible to dollar spot caused by the fungus Sclerotinia homoeocarpa. In terms of resistance to a number of diseases, it is inferior to modern breeding lines.
