Variety description

10 August 2026

The 007 (007 DSB) variety is an "advanced" generation of bentgrass, obtained through selection from 24 parent plants, including clones of the L-93 and Southshore varieties, and specimens from golf courses. The plant has a stoloniferous growth habit and forms a dense, tight sward with dark green leaves that do not acquire a purple tint in winter.

The plant possesses increased resistance to dollar spot, anthracnose, Fusarium, and snow mold, which reduces the need for fungicides. The variety is adapted to extremely low mowing and shows high competitiveness against Poa annua.

The variety is intended for the establishment and repair of greens, tees, and fairways on professional golf courses. It is suitable for both creating new coverage and interseeding into existing turf, demonstrating good adaptation to climatic stresses.
