The variety is a perennial low-growing grass forming a dense and fine-leaved sward. Due to the presence of above-ground shoots (stolons) that root at the nodes, the plant spreads rapidly, allowing for effective repair of the turf cover.
The plant is intended for professional use and requires intensive maintenance, including regular irrigation, fertilization, and low mowing down to a few millimeters. In its natural state, the plant height can reach 15–40 cm.
The quality of the variety's sward depends on susceptibility to winter diseases, such as Microdochium (snow mold) and Typhula blight. There is also an improved version of the variety called «Pennlinks II», distinguished by increased resistance to diseases, including dollar spot.
