The variety is intended for golf course greens and overseeding on areas with bermudagrass. The plant has an upright growth habit and a shoot density of approximately 2378 shoots per sq. dm. The leaf blade has a width of approximately 0.73 mm.
The variety is resistant to brown patch and leaf spot, and possesses moderate tolerance to dollar spot, Fusarium patch, and copper spot. It can grow on both sandy and natural soils. It differs from other varieties in the "Penn" series by its panicle type, the shape and margins of the leaf ligule, as well as anthocyanin content.
