The cultivation technology involves transplanting seedlings into furrows in a lying position followed by hilling, which gives the plants a characteristic curved appearance. Sandy soils and proximity to the sea contribute to the formation of its taste qualities. Harvesting is carried out between April and June.
The traditional storage method consists of braiding dried plants into bundles called forcone. The variety is used fresh, for preparing sautés, or for baking.
