The variety forms a rosette of large dark green leaves and does not produce a root crop. Plant height varies from 20 to 60 cm depending on growing conditions. The leaves possess an intense aroma and are suitable for fresh consumption, drying, and the preparation of various dishes.
The plant is frost-hardy and capable of overwintering in regions with mild climates if provided with protection. The variety is characterized by reduced susceptibility to Septoria. Intended for cultivation in the open field, greenhouses, and containers.
Seeds are sown in the spring; the germination period is 14–21 days. The crop is light-sensitive during germination and requires surface sowing or light covering with soil. The plant prefers sunny or partially shaded locations and fertile, moist soil.
