The Taborsky variety is a historical variety bred in the South Bohemia region based on local grass ecotypes. Its primary purpose is for use as a forage crop for hay meadows and pastures.
In a number of publications, the name Taborsky is found not only in relation to tall fescue but also in lists of alsike clover varieties. Modern data on morphological traits, disease resistance levels, or product quality specifically for this variety are not provided in open sources, and mentions in literature relate primarily to historical aspects of breeding or the preservation of genetic collections.
