The variety is used as forage grass for perennial grass mixtures. Due to its adaptability and productivity, the variety is also being studied as a source of biomass for energy purposes, raw material for the paper industry, and as a crop for phytoremediation of soils contaminated with heavy metals.
The plant possesses high competitiveness in swards and resistance to moisture deficit, outperforming a number of other grass species in these indicators, for example, Dactylis glomerata.
