The shrub has a dense columnar crown shape, reaching a height of 1 to 2 meters with a width of 0.8–1 meter. The small leaves are bright yellow, which may take on orange-red shades on young shoots, and in autumn the entire bush turns orange-red colors.
The plant blooms in May–June with yellow flowers, followed by the formation of glossy red berries that remain on the branches for a long time. The variety is winter hardy, wind resistant, adapted to urban conditions, and resistant to most diseases and pests.
To maintain the intense golden color of the leaves, the shrub requires sunny locations, as the foliage turns green in the shade. The plant tolerates pruning well, is undemanding to soil composition, but requires protection from moisture stagnation.
