The shrub is characterized by a slow growth rate and a dense columnar crown shape. The leaves have a distinct red color, which is maintained throughout the entire growing season, turning orange-red in autumn.
The plant belongs to hardiness zone 5. It prefers sunny locations to maintain the saturation of the foliage color and grows well in ordinary garden soils with a pH level from 5.5 to 6.5.
In May, the shrub blooms with small yellow flowers gathered in clusters. The variety tolerates pruning and shaping well, recovering quickly afterwards, and also possesses high adaptability to urban conditions.
