The plant reaches 50–60 cm in height and 50–80 cm in diameter. Leaves are small, obovate, turning orange in autumn. Young shoots are bright red, darkening to brown with age; spininess is weak.
Flowering is abundant, lasting from May to June, flowers are small yellow-orange. Fruits are bright red, ellipsoidal, ripening in late August — September and often persisting on the bush until winter.
The variety possesses high frost resistance down to -29 °C and drought tolerance. It tolerates pruning well; sufficient sunlight is required to maintain the bright foliage color.
