The variety is used as a fodder crop for agricultural needs and small domestic animals, as well as in mixtures for wildlife. Both the leaves and green stems of the plant are used for feed.

The plant is characterized by rapid growth and the maintenance of high yields until the onset of winter; it possesses good keeping quality. The variety recovers poorly after mowing at a height of 10 cm.

The recommended sowing period for this variety falls within the interval from April to June; when used as part of mixtures, the timing may shift to May-July.
