Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a tall plant, reaching 100–150 cm in the first year and up to 2 meters in subsequent periods. The stem can reach a diameter of 5 cm; the plant is abundantly covered with green leaves 20–40 cm long, the midrib of which sometimes has a pinkish hue.

The plant is perennial, capable of growing for up to 3 years. The variety has a high capacity for leaf regeneration from the axils after being grazed by animals. It is winter-hardy, withstands frosts down to -15°C, and is characterized by relative resistance to clubroot.

The content of bitter substances, such as mustard oil, prevents intensive grazing of the crop in summer. After exposure to the first heavy frosts, the level of these substances in the leaves decreases, which increases the plant's attractiveness for wildlife in the winter period.
