Kobolt is a dwarf-type hybrid. The plant is characterized by its compactness and upright habit, with a height of approximately two-thirds that of standard kale. The leaves are dark green, large in size, have short petioles, and lack anthocyanin coloration.

The variety is intended for the fresh market, including bunching, as well as for the baby-leaf segment and industrial processing. Plants are characterized by high uniformity, stability, good shelf life, and winter hardiness.
