The root is rounded or top-shaped with a developed taproot, with a diameter and height of approximately 6–8 cm. The root skin is white and smooth, and the flesh is pure white. The plant is almost entirely submerged in the soil and possesses an upright, medium-sized, bright green leaf canopy.

The variety belongs to the mid-early group. Historically, it was widely distributed in Paris markets; the name «Navet rond de Croissy» indicates a connection to the traditional center of vegetable farming in the village of Croissy.
