The root is flattened in shape, reaching about 10 cm in diameter. The color is bicolored: the upper zone is red-purple, the lower part is white. The plant reaches 30 cm in height and has stiff, erect leaves with entire margins.

The variety is very early, maturing faster than standard varieties of this type. The flesh of the root is firm, fine-textured, and juicy. The plant is resistant to drought and low temperatures; it is recommended for spring and autumn sowing.

The variety is used in cooking both raw and cooked. It is an heirloom variety and is in the public domain.
