The variety Uniring (designated as UNIR) is intended for paprika production. It is a subject of scientific research due to its high level of total carotenoids (about 1609.07 ± 524.52 µg/g) and vitamin E content in the form of tocopherols.
The level of carotenoids in the fruits depends on growing conditions and significantly increases (up to 3 times) during post-harvest ripening. The variety is considered a promising genotype for breeding and the production of goods with high antioxidant potential.
