The Luccichiente variety, also known as Luccichiente dell'Amiata, is part of the chestnut biodiversity of Mount Amiata in the Italian provinces of Grosseto and Siena. This variety is not among the varieties regulated by the Castagna del Monte Amiata IGP specification.

Detailed agronomic and morphological characteristics of the variety are absent in open publications. Data on breeding origin are not recorded, as the variety is a product of centuries of natural selection and folk selection in the region of its cultivation.
