The PELUSIELLO variety is the result of folk selection and is traditionally cultivated in the Lazio region of Italy. The fruits of the variety belong to the marrone category, are characterized by good organoleptic properties, however, certain difficulties with their shelf life after harvest are noted.
The plant belongs to the early maturity group. The variety shows increased susceptibility to chestnut blight (Cryphonectria parasitica), which, combined with agronomic difficulties, leads to a reduction in its distribution.
