The variety belongs to female trees and is distinguished by early onset of the fruiting period. The plant's leaves have an elliptical shape. The fruit consists of curved brown pods with a rough surface; their length is 16–18 cm, and their average width is 22.4 mm.

The fruit is classified as large, with an average weight of about 17.8 g. One of the key characteristics is the high seed yield, which is 16–18%. The variety name reflects the presence of a characteristic reddish tint of the pod pulp, which was historically used for food purposes after roasting.
