The variety belongs to the Desi type, which is characterized by small, dark seeds. It belongs to the mid-late maturity group. Plants possess high tolerance to major chickpea fungal diseases, including Ascochyta blight and Fusarium wilt, and are adapted to complex climatic conditions with irregular precipitation and temperature fluctuations.

The variety's produce is distinguished by a high protein content. Seeds require heat treatment before consumption to reduce the content of tannins, phytic acid, and saponins. The breeding of the variety was aimed at obtaining plants suitable for mechanical harvesting.
