The variety belongs to the Catalonga group of leaf chicories. The plant forms a voluminous upright bush 40–50 cm in height with dark green elongated serrated leaves and a pronounced white central midrib.

The variety is distinguished by rapid growth: 'baby leaf' harvesting is possible in 25–30 days, with full maturity reached in 45–60 days. The plant is cold-tolerant, resistant to diseases and pests, and is suitable for cultivation throughout the season in open field or containers.

The leaves possess the slightly bitter taste characteristic of chicory, which becomes milder in cool weather, and crunchy white petioles. The product is used in fresh salads or as greens for stewing and stir-frying.
