The variety belongs to the traditional group of Italian chicories of the Chioggia type and is also known as Rossa di Chioggia or a representative of the Palla rossa group. It is an early-maturing crop intended for producing dense heads for fresh consumption.
The plant forms compact, medium-sized heads. Due to high resistance to bolting, the variety is suitable for spring sowing with subsequent harvesting in the summer period.
