The tree of this variety has a spherical canopy shape with slightly drooping branches and possesses medium vigor. The variety is a mutation of Double Fine and is traditionally cultivated in Mediterranean countries.

The fruits have an elongated or ovoid shape and a firm structure, coloring well in regions with cool winters. The variety is characterized by frost tolerance.

The plant is often used in scientific research as an object for studying the genetic diversity of citrus and in in vitro tissue culture experiments for eliminating viruses from planting material.
