The variety is a spontaneous bud mutation of the Washington Navel orange. The tree is characterized by a compact size, a neat, spherical, dense crown, and thin, drooping branches, which occasionally have thorns. The leaves are lanceolate, medium-sized, and dark green. The flowers are large, solitary or in inflorescences, with a strong sweet aroma; the buds may have an anthocyanin tint.

The fruits are medium-sized, weighing 220–280 g, and are round or slightly oval in shape. The peel is thin, fine-grained, and colored orange or dark orange. The variety is high-yielding; the fruits ripen from November to January. The plant is susceptible to stubborn citrus disease, and during heavy fruiting, the branches may require support.
