The variety originated as a spontaneous bud mutation in Brazil. The trees are medium-sized, reaching 1.5–2.5 meters in height when grown as a houseplant. The fruits weigh between 170 and 300 grams and have a spherical or slightly elongated shape. The flesh is bright orange, juicy, and sweet-and-sour.

The fruit peel is of medium thickness, rough, and difficult to separate from the flesh. The variety is seedless as it does not produce viable pollen. The plant is sensitive to drought and excessive heat, has low frost hardiness, and requires protected cultivation in regions with cold winters.
