The variety was discovered in 1955 in the USA. It belongs to the category of late-maturing varieties; the harvest period in a number of regions falls between March and July. The trees are self-fertile.

The fruits are distinguished by the intense color of the pulp, higher juiciness, and lower acidity compared to other varieties of the “Valencia” group. The pH level of the juice is elevated, and the fruit mesocarp has significant thickness.

The variety is intended for fresh consumption and juice production. In scientific literature, it is mentioned in the context of research on citrus pathogens, including Citrus leprosis virus, however, data on specific disease resistance require clarification.
