Variety description

10 August 2026

The Red Blush (Ruby Red) variety is an evergreen tree of medium size, reaching 5–6 meters in height. The fruits have a yellow peel, which often shows a characteristic crimson or reddish blush, especially where the fruits touch.

The fruit flesh is pink-red in color, sweet and sour in taste with a characteristic bitterness. The variety is characterized by a low number of seeds or their absence. The SRA-56 clone is certified material, indexed free of specific viral diseases.

The plant is mid-season, the fruits have good keeping quality and transportability. The variety is suitable for commercial cultivation, however, it is demanding of thermal conditions to accumulate sweetness and may be susceptible to typical citrus diseases.
