The variety is a natural mutation of the Rio Red variety, discovered in 2004. The tree is diploid, vigorous, with a dense crown, spherical shape, and upright branches. The variety is characterized by productivity within the crown.
The fruits have a mass of about 466–467 g and a shape ranging from spherical to oblate. The peel is smooth, about 5.5 mm thick, with a pronounced red hue. The flesh is red and has a mild taste with a low degree of bitterness. The variety is intended for fresh consumption.
