The tree is vigorous and spreading, reaching 5–6 meters in height; branches are almost thornless. Leaves are large, dark green, and stiff. Flowers are large, white, and fragrant; fruits often form in clusters, resembling grapes.

Fruits are round or flattened, with a medium-thick smooth light-yellow peel. The flesh is light yellow and is distinguished by high juiciness and keeping quality, allowing the fruits to remain on the branches for a long time. The variety is the progenitor of many pink and red grapefruit varieties.

The plant is very thermophilic and sensitive to frost. In temperate climates, it is grown as a potted crop in greenhouses and winter gardens. The variety is used both for fresh consumption and for industrial juice production.
