The Foster Pink variety is a bud mutation of the Walters variety. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and high productivity. The fruits are medium to large in size and can be round, flattened-round, or spherical in shape.

The fruit rind is smooth, of medium thickness, and light yellow in color, sometimes with a pinkish tint. The flesh is juicy, yellow in color, acquiring a pinkish tint under favorable growing conditions. The variety is characterized by high seed content.
