ActiveCitrus x paradisi Macfad. · Grapefruit
10 August 2026
The variety is a hybrid of the Siamese Sweet pomelo variety and the Frua mandarin hybrid. Fruits ripen between November and February and can be stored on the tree for a long time. The height of the plant depends on growing conditions: in a warm climate, the tree is vigorous, while in a cool climate or container cultivation, it is compact, 1.5–2.5 meters tall.
Fruits vary in size from a large orange to a medium grapefruit, have a thin yellow rind and juicy yellow-orange flesh with a large number of seeds. The taste is characterized as subacidic, significantly sweeter than a regular grapefruit, with minimal bitterness. The variety is intended for fresh consumption and processing into juices or sweets.
