Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is mid-season; the harvest period falls in October–January. The fruits are distinguished by the pink color of the pulp, due to the high content of lycopene, which persists throughout the season. The fruit pulp contains no seeds, and the taste is characterized as non-acidic with a sugar level of about 11.5%.

The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work by crossing the tetraploid grapefruit variety «Hudson» with a diploid pomelo possessing low acid content. The plant has a high potential yield and is intended for fresh consumption. For commercial purposes, the variety is also known under the name «Redson».
