The tree is vigorous, highly productive, with a spreading dense crown and large dark green leathery leaves. The branches are practically thornless or have small thorns. The variety is considered the most frost-hardy among grapefruits and is characterized as hardy.

The fruits are large, 10–15 cm in diameter, round or slightly flattened in shape with pale yellow smooth skin of medium thickness. The pulp is pale yellow, juicy, with an intense aroma. A feature of the fruits is a large number of seeds, reaching 50–60 pieces.

The variety is mid-early; ripening periods can vary from autumn to spring. The fruits are used fresh and for juice production. The plant is also used as a rootstock for other citrus crops and for indoor cultivation.
