Star Ruby
ActiveCitrus x paradisi Macfad. · Grapefruit
10 August 2026
The tree is vigorous, with a dense, rounded crown and sparse, thick thorns. The leaves are broad, dark green, resembling those of a mandarin. The fruits are round-flattened, weighing 400–500 g, with a thick (5–6 mm) coarse yellow-orange peel that is relatively easy to peel.
Inside the fruit, there are about 12 segments and a large number of seeds. The flesh is juicy and possesses a pronounced acidity and bitterness. The fruits are late-maturing and can remain on the tree for a long time. They are used fresh, as well as for making marmalade, juices, and other processed products.
