In official Spanish documents, the Yuzu KOMATSU variety is registered as a Citrus ichangensis × Citrus unshiu Marcow hybrid. At the same time, in literature dedicated to citrus fruits, the name KOMATSU or KOMATSU Sadao refers to a Japanese variety or selection of yuzu (Citrus junos), distinguished by a high content of aromatic compounds in the fruit.
Specialized agronomic descriptions, such as plant height, development characteristics, or maturity, are absent from open publications. There is a distinction between the material registered in Spain and traditional Japanese clones with a similar name.
