The variety was obtained by crossing Montreal clementine and tetraploid Marsh grapefruit. The trees are characterized as having few thorns, being highly productive, without pronounced alternate bearing, with a yield of up to 100–120 kg per tree.

The fruits reach maturity by the end of January; the average weight is about 180 g. The peel and juice have an orange color, the juice yield is about 45%. The taste is delicate, the soluble solids content is 10–12.5° Brix.

A distinctive feature is the low naringin content, which eliminates strong bitterness, and the extremely low level of furanocoumarins — about 2.5 mg/l, which is approximately 10 times less than in common grapefruit varieties.
