The variety is a moderately vigorous tree with a rounded crown and drooping branches. The leaves are dark green and visually similar to the satsuma variety. The plant possesses cold hardiness but is prone to alternate bearing.
The fruits are medium to large in size, ranging from oblate to round in shape. The rind is of medium thickness with a soft texture and separates moderately. The deep orange flesh is very tender and juicy, however, the fruits are prone to forming a significant number of seeds.
The ripening period is one of the latest among citrus fruits and falls between February and April or May. In the initial stage of ripening, the fruits may have a pronounced acidity, which is replaced by sweetness during the process of full maturity.
