The hybrid is a vigorously growing plant with glossy, pointed leaves, sometimes devoid of thorns. In favorable conditions, specimens can reach seven meters in height and overwinter outdoors, making them among the most cold-hardy of the citrus fruits.

The plant's fruits are small in size and round in shape. Seed content varies depending on the specimen. The taste of the fruit is described as specific: sweet pulp combined with a more bitter peel, with the fruits being edible fresh or usable in cooking similarly to lemons.
