The variety is a hybrid of mandarin and sweet orange. The plant is characterized by a vigorous growth rate, reaching medium to large size and forming a spreading, drooping canopy with dense foliage. Shoots are thin; thorns are practically absent.
Fruits are large, weighing 200–250 g, with a bright orange color and a smooth, fine-pored, glossy rind. The flesh is orange, juicy, and has a sweet-and-sour taste. The rind is thin and adheres tightly to the flesh; fruits contain a varying number of seeds.
The variety belongs to late maturity groups; harvest usually occurs in the period from February to April. Fruits hold well on the tree and are suitable for long-term storage. Variety characteristics, including maturity timing and fruit size, depend on the rootstock used.
