The plant is a medium-sized tree, 1 to 2.5 meters in height in container cultivation, with a rounded spreading crown and sometimes thorny branches. Leaves are large, lanceolate, with a winged petiole. Flowers are creamy-white, fragrant, and form from pink buds in inflorescences.

Fruits have a pear shape and a wrinkled skin of medium thickness, which turns bright yellow upon ripening. The pulp is juicy, with a lemon flavor. Due to the aromatic zest, the fruits are used in cooking. The variety is everbearing and capable of fruiting throughout the year, with the main harvest from December to March.

The plant possesses relative hardiness, withstanding short-term temperature drops down to -7 °C. The variety is intended for ornamental and collection purposes, and has also been used in breeding programs to improve resistance to mal secco disease.
