Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of Clematis florida and Clematis integrifolia. The flowers, 5–10 cm in diameter, have a deep purple or ink-violet color. A distinctive feature is the transformation of the central part of the flower into a multi-layered pompom as it opens. The plant reaches 1.5–2.5 meters in height with a width of about 1 meter.

The plant belongs to pruning group 3; shoots are cut in spring to 15–30 cm above soil level. The flowering period lasts from June to October. The variety has winter hardiness within USDA zones 5–9. It is intended for growing on supports or in containers, requires fertile, well-drained soil, and protection of the root zone from overheating.
